How to add PayPal as a payment method On Google Services

Here is how you can add PayPal as a preferred payment method on all your Google services including, Google Pay, YouTube, Gmail, and Google Store.

To connect your PayPal account to your google pay account, you first need to download the Google Pay App. Upon a successful installation of the app,

  1. Click on the “Card” icon at the bottom of the Google Pay app
  2. Click on the “+” at the bottom right corner to add a new payment method
  3. Choose “Add other payment methods”
  4. Choose “PayPal” from the list dropdown options
  5. Enter your PayPal information and login
  6. Click on “Next” and then input your PIN twice.
  7. On the next screen, set your default top-up amount ($10, $20, $50, or $100) and the default account that top-up will be charged to.
  8. Next click “Agree and Continue”
  9. Agree with the terms and conditions and tap on “finish” to connect your PayPal account.

Now, to finally make PayPal your preferred or default payment method on your Google Pay account, Navigate to your account under the “Cards” tab This is where you will find your recent activities. Then you can make your change. Either remove it or add it as your default payment method.

To make further changes to your PayPal account on your Google Pay such as your top-up amount or PIN.

  • You will have to head on to your PayPal app. 
  • Open the PayPal app
  • Navigate to settings from the main menu
  • Toggle on the “Off Automatic top-up”
  • Change the default value and billing account
